1. Who We Are

By downloading, accessing, or using Luna, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Luna is made by Dotty Apps LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have any questions, email us at [email protected] — we'd love to hear from you!

2. Who Can Use Luna

Luna is designed for teens. If you are under 13 — or under the minimum age set by the laws of your own country, which is higher than 13 in much of Europe and other countries — a parent or guardian must read these terms and agree on your behalf before you use the app.

By using Luna, you confirm that either (a) you are old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or (b) a parent or guardian has given permission and agreed to these terms for you.

3. Your Privacy

We care about your privacy — especially because Luna handles sensitive health data. How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. Please read it.

Before you make an account, data from Luna are only stored locally on your device. If you create an account, we store and sync your data to provide the app's backup service. See the privacy policy for more details on what data we collect and how we use it. You can delete your account and all your data at any time in Settings → Delete my data.

4. What Luna Is (and Isn't)

Luna is a personal period-tracking app. Luna is not a medical device and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other healthcare professional. Predictions from Luna are estimates based on what you have logged, and they may be wrong.

Any health information provided in the app is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have. We do our best to make sure all our information is accurate, but it may not be.

Don't rely on Luna to make health decisions. If you have concerns about your health, please talk to a doctor or trusted adult.

5. Ask Luna

Ask Luna answers questions about periods and growing up. When you ask a question, it first searches a library of answers written by public health professionals, then uses artificial intelligence (AI) to tailor that answer to your question.

Ask Luna can make mistakes. It is not a doctor, and its answers are not medical advice. Don't use it to diagnose or treat a health problem. Always talk to a doctor about your health, and to a trusted adult if you are worried about anything.

If you think you might be having a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a trusted adult right away — don't ask Ask Luna.

Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to the questions you ask.

6. Your License to Use the App

We give you a personal, non-commercial license to use Luna on your own device. You may not copy, sell, or distribute the app.

If you downloaded Luna from the App Store or Google Play, their terms of service also apply. If our terms and the app store's terms ever conflict, the app store's terms win on that point.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of Luna require a paid subscription. Here's what you should know:

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future charges but does not give a refund for the current period.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Cancelling later than that may not stop the next charge.
• Deleting the Luna app does not cancel your subscription. Even with the app gone from your phone, you will keep being charged until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Free trials automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
• We may change subscription prices.

8. Free Features May Change

Some features of Luna are free. We may change, limit, or remove free features in the future.

9. Parent and Guardian Accounts

Luna lets a parent or guardian link their account to their child's. A link is only ever created with the child taking part: the parent starts it, the child enters the code on their own device, and the parent then confirms it. Either side can see that the link exists.

Once linked, the parent or guardian can view the child's period history, logged symptoms, and app settings.

If the child is under the minimum age in their country, their parent or guardian can delete the child's account and everything in it. Once the child is old enough to agree for themselves, they can unlink from the parent whenever they want.

A child under that age who backs up their data but whose parent or guardian never consents will have their account deleted after 30 days. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.

10. Keeping Your Account Safe

Your account and password are your responsibility. Keep your password private and don't share it. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away at [email protected] and change your password.

11. Things You Can't Do

When using Luna, you agree not to:

• Use it for anything illegal
• Copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the app without our permission
• Upload or share content that is harmful, offensive, or violates anyone else's rights
• Try to hack, damage, or overload our systems
• Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent who you are
• Collect other users' data without their permission

12. Content You Add

Any notes, logs, or other content you add to Luna belong to you. Without an account, these data are only stored locally on your device. With an account you give us a limited license to store and sync that content in order to provide the app's backup service.

You can delete your content at any time through Settings → Delete my data.

13. Third-Party Links

Luna may occasionally link to outside websites (like health resources). Those sites are not controlled by us. We're not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or anything that happens there.

14. No Warranties — App Provided As-Is

We work hard to keep Luna reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly accurate. Luna is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

15. Limits on Our Responsibility

We are only responsible for losses that are a direct, foreseeable result of something we did wrong or failed to do. We are not responsible for:

• Losses caused by events outside our control
• Business or financial losses
• Data you lose

Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our total responsibility for everything connected with Luna will not be more than whichever is greater: the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100).

If you live somewhere that gives you consumer rights we are not allowed to limit, those rights still apply and nothing here takes them away.

16. Medical Disclaimer

Luna is not a healthcare provider and nothing in the app is medical advice. Luna's predictions are estimates based on what you have logged, and they may be wrong. Never rely on them as birth control, or as a way to avoid or achieve pregnancy.

Always talk to a doctor or another trusted adult about any medical concern.

17. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or remove your access to Luna if you break these terms or if we're required to do so by law.

What happens to your data if we do, and how long we keep it, is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and everything in it yourself at any time in Settings → Delete my data.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Luna after that means you accept the new terms.

19. Transferring This Agreement

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company (for example if Luna is acquired). If that happens, we'll let you know, and your rights under these terms won't be reduced.

20. Severability

If a court decides that any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest of the terms still apply.

21. No Waiver

If we don't enforce a rule in these terms on a particular occasion, that doesn't mean we give up our right to enforce it in the future.

22. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York.
